Babysitting and tutoring are the lowest-threshold side incomes there are: no registration, no investment, and demand never dries up — especially from parents in your own neighbourhood and network.

What it pays

• Babysitting: €8-12 an hour, mostly quiet evening work.
• Tutoring: €15-25 an hour; subject-specific tutoring (maths, languages) sits at the top end.
• Two fixed evenings a week quickly adds €200-400 a month.

How to find clients

• Start in your own circle: parents at school, sports club, neighbours. One happy family brings the next.
• Tutoring platforms take a cut but fill your calendar fast in the beginning.
• Be concrete about availability and rate — it builds trust.

Tax: declare side income as other work income. Below a few thousand a year you keep most of it — but do declare it.
